Valentines Day Vacations

Whilst I was surfing the World Wide Web in search of romantic and affordable Saint Valentine’s Day vacations for my own Valentine and me, I came across a few very interesting ideas. I would like, if I may that is, to share these findings with you at this time. You never know, any one of them may be exactly what you have been looking for yourself.

• Transcontinental romance. This is a five day package that flies you to Anchorage, Alaska on a first class flight from anywhere within the United States. You will be touring the Alaskan wilderness via a dog sled, you will float a water plane and drive a snowmobile during the day and be served fine cuisine and pampering at night. You will be flown on a private jet to Los Angeles to shop with a personal shopper and eat a ten course Japanese dinner at one of Los Angeles’ most famous eateries, Sai Sai Restaurant. Day four is Saint Valentine’s Day and you will be flown on a private jet to New York City for a romantic candlelight dinner in a famed Broadway theater. Your Valentine will be surprised with four pieces of personally selected diamond jewelry, totaling more than five carats, served with the caviar or sitting atop a decadent chocolate dessert. You can obtain this package at a discounted rate of $50,000 per couple. A true bargain.
• You will fly business class from Los Angeles to Papeete, Tahiti for a one night stay in the Le Meridien Presidential suite lit with one hundred candles. Hop over to Bora Bora for a four nights stay in an over-water bungalow and then head back to Tahiti for your final night and a true celebration of Saint Valentine’s Day in paradise. This is the real meaning of “fantasy islands” and it is yours for a mere $9,759 per couple. What a steal!
• On Saint Valentine’s Day you will be checked into a small but luxurious suite of a stylish hotel 51 Buckingham Gate for one night. You will then be chauffeured in an elegant limousine to Victoria Station for a five course dinner in a vintage Oriental Express Pullman carriage. Pink champagne, strawberries and an organic breakfast are all included in the $1,200 price per couple of this package. Just remember that if you do not live in London, transportation to get there is not included.
• Treat your loved one and your self to a Saint Valentine’s Day party for two at the Meadowwood spa and hotel in Napa Valley, California. For a modest $975 per couple you will be served a six course dinner with local Napa Valley wine, indulge in a spa treatment for couples and a one night stay.
• Spend two nights (one of which would include Saint Valentine’s Day) at the gorgeous Inn Britannia in Searsport, Maine. You will be treated to a candlelight breakfast, roses, chocolates and complimentary wine. This promotional package is offered for a low $250 per couple. Of course, getting there is out of your own pocket.
